History Boner

David Simon of The Wire and Tom Fontana of Oz (writers of two of my favorite shows ever) are developing a mini-series about the Lincoln assassination and the hunt for assassin, John Wilkes Booth for HBO. I am guessing HBO is counting on a repeat of the great success that was John Adams, and I'd have to say that I am extremely excited. I have to run out and read the book that the mini-series is based on Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer

I'm gonna go ahead and cast James Franco as John Wilkes Booth.

and John C Reilly as Lincoln (cause he has a Lincoln-ish hat on and he's awesome.)
