Feral Children

This post about feral children is spellbinding. The story of Ivan Mishukov, the Russian Dog Boy, made me particularly sad. From FeralChildren.com (yes an entire website dedicated to wild children, who knew!):

In 1998, the collapse of the Russian economy meant that some 2 million homeless children in Russia were pretty much left to fend for themselves. One six-year-old boy, Ivan Mishukov, made the headlines in the summer of that year because of his preference for living in the streets under the protection of a pack of wild dogs.

He was four when he ran away! Russians are seriously hardcore. Even though this Ivan incident was documented in '98, it seems that most of the stories are fake or very far-fetched, but it's still amazing.
