Mickey Rourke is going to beat Joel McHale for making a joke about his dead dog. Holy crap, who do I root for?

Mickey Rourke is Shutting It Down
I have no idea why, but I really like country music star John Rich and find him charming. His music makes me cringe and feel fuzzy all at the same time [although he did give us the horror that is "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)".] He was a judge on Nashville Star and actually gave what seemed like genuine heartfelt advice. This gem is his new video "Shuttin' Detroit Down" starring Kris Kristofferson and Mickey Rourke. Mickey's lips look very plump.

Mickey Rourke Was Robbed
No Oscar for Mickey, what a travesty! Although, maybe this means there is a slight chance he will wrestle in Wrestlemania 25, oh yeah!
Here is Mickey accepting the Independent Spirit Award, there is no way he could have topped this speech at the Oscars.

The Ram

I finally watched The Wrestler and it lived up to the hype. Mickey Rourke's performance was amazing. Direct quote from the old ball and chain, "I feel like we are watching a documentary." How can Mickey possibly ride this wave of praise to a career rebirth? Yup, competing in Wrestlemania 25 is probably the best way. The fact that Mickey Rourke is appearing in a WWE event just makes him more amazing cause he does not give a fuck. I hope the jerk-offs voting don't take this as an uncouth move which NYMag seems to think it is.

The Informers Trailer
The dude from John from Cincinnati, Austin Nichols, looks hot, although I really don't understand most of what is happening in this trailer.

Wrasslin

If someone asked me who would be directing Mikey Rourke in a movie called The Wrestler, the second to last person I would name is Darren Aronofsky (director of Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain.) The last person would probably be Woody Allen because Scarlett Johansson couldn't play a wrestler unless it was the life story of The Fabulous Moolah.
