If you are a fan of the food network, you may have seen Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee. Basically, she buys pre-made crap from a store and tosses it together. This would be fine if the results weren't always semi-edible. Which is how we come to her grand masterpiece, the Kwanzaa cake. This cake involves store-bought angel food cake, icing in a can, apple pie filling in the hole, nuts, and pumpkin seeds. The color of the icing is the least appealing thing ever followed by topping it off with the hugest candles I have ever seen. Once a knife needs to become involved, I think that means the candles are too big for the cake.
Patton Oswalt is guest-curating his own film festival, "Sitting In The Dark" in LA. That sucks cause I would totally say I am gonna go (and of course not go cause the new season of Housewives of Atlanta just started and I am sure there will be non-stop marathons that will force me to stay home.) Patton discusses the festival in this Onion article, and name drops this guy Bobby Hacker. Wow, this guy is a frigging genius, would love to see some longer length footage. Check out the trailer for Hacker's film screening at "Sitting In The Dark".
